Three people were arrested and another three were held for questioning under suspicion of planning on attack prison guards with explosives, Israel Police announced on Monday.
Further arrests are expected.
The suspects each made contact individually with each other and planned to attack guards working for the Israel Prison Service with explosives.
In the past few months, there have been a number of incidents in which people attempted to harm prisons and prison guards.
