Three people were seriously injured and several more received light injuries in a gas explosion at a school in the Druze village of Beit Jan in the North on Monday.

The injured were being treated on the scene by MDA paramedics and were expected to be evacuated to hospital by helicopter.

MDA paramedics reported that three technicians fixing a gas malfunction were seriously injured in the blast, while a number of other people were lightly burned in the incident.
