Attorney-General Yehuda Weinstein on Monday ruled that there were no legal impediments to the appointment of Yaakov Frenkel to serve as Bank of Israel governor.While Frenkel has already served two terms as BoI governor, from 1991-2000, the law limiting governors to two terms was enacted only in 2010 and is not retroactively applied to Frenkel's two terms.
