Pastor A. R. Bernard resigned on Friday from the US President Advisory Evangelical Board.

One of the topics addressed by Bernard, who is an African-American, in his CNN interview on Saturday morning was the issue of racial relations in Trump's America.

Bernard said that based on his personal encounters with US president Donald Trump he is not a racist, he did say that, as a black man, he is forced to be a black man living in America first.

After that being understood, he said, ''then I am a Christian."
