NEW YORK – While acknowledging that there have been no specific threats or information regarding specific threats to any communal Jewish institutions in the US in the wake of Osama bin Laden’s death, Steven Sheinberg, leader of the communal security initiative for the Anti-Defamation League said the Jewish community should be operating “at the top of their security game.”

On Monday, the Anti-Defamation League issued a notice to the American Jewish community, urging it to be proactive “and to review their security and make sure their systems are working,” Sheinberg said.

“We have no specific intelligence regarding any threats to the Jewish community,” Sheinberg said. He said the notice was sent out to “let the community know that this is a time to take security seriously.”
