Abbas departs for UK to discuss peace process with Cameron

Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas departed for Britain late Sunday for a diplomatic visit to discuss the peace process, AFP reported.
Abbas was expected to meet with British Prime Minister David Cameron and Foreign Secretary William Hague on Monday. Following his one-day stop in London, the PA president was scheduled to head to Denmark, according to the report.
An Abbas spokesman said that the PA president would discuss "ways to support and promote the peace process in the face of Israeli intransigence and continued settlement activity, which has stalled the negotiations," AFP reported.
