Aharonovitch slams 'shocking' behavior of haredi protesters

Public Security Minister Yitzhak Aharonovitch on Friday harshly criticized the behavior of haredi protesters who injured eight police officers during a demonstration against government plans to draft ultra-Orthodox yeshiva students in Jerusalem on Thursday.
After meeting one of the injured officers, Aharonovitch said that "criminal behavior, illegal demonstrations and assaulting police officers will not change the government's firm stance on equalizing the service burden."
Aharonovitch referred to the demonstrators' behavior as "shocking" and vowed to bring lawbreakers to justice.
