In Gaza, a series of aerial and Naval strikes shook residents overnight Sunday. Al Jazeera reported seven died in the strikes, which included a hit on a police station in Gaza City.

In Israel, the blare of red sirens forewarning rockets ceased after midnight, as terrorists in the Strip abated their fire.

Previous nights of Operation Pillar of Defense saw several hours of calm before hostilities renewed in the morning.
