The armed wing of Palestinian Islamic Jihad, the al-Quds Brigade, issued a warning to Israel against staging an attack on the Gaza Strip, Iranian Fars News reported on Tuesday.

In the warning, a spokesman for the group said, "Resistance groups have grown capable enough to reciprocate the Zionist regime's attacks with qualitatively heavy blows Israel's sensitive and strategic points," according to the report.

The spokesman, Abu Ahmad, said that the al-Quds Brigade views remarks and threats made by Israeli politicians and commanders in recent months as an indication that Israel is planning an attack, Fars reported.
