Several dozen Arab youths threw stones at police forces at Damascus Gate in east Jerusalem on Thursday night.

Police dispersed the stone-throwers, detaining four of them for questioning at the nearby Shalem police station.

Following their arrest, stone-throwers returned to the police station, throwing stones at officers and at police cruisers.

Five police cars sustained damage in the incident.

A Border Police officer suffered a minor injury to his hand and was taken for medical treatment.
