At least 19 killed by Syrian army in Friday protests

AMMAN - Syrian security forces shot dead at least 19 people at pro-democracy protests on Friday, activists said, days after President Bashar Assad agreed a deal with the Arab League to resolve seven months of unrest and a military crackdown.
Seven people were killed in Kanaker, south of Damascus, nine in the central city of Homs, two in Hama to the north and one in Saqba, near the capital, they said.
