Ayatollah Khamenei: Iran has not prohibited talks with US

July 22, 2013 08:31

"Over the years Americans have kept saying that they want to hold negotiations with Iran and I have not prohibited this in particular cases like ‪‎Iraq‬ but I'm not optimistic about the ‪US‬ request for negotiation, because US has shown to be unreliable and ‪‎illogical," Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei said on Monday.

In a statement posted on his Facebook page, the Ayatollah stated that Iran believes in "interaction with the world," but must be aware of the other side as "no-one can forget the hostilities of some countries against ‪‎Iran‬."
