UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon on Thursday called on Palestinians to stop launching rockets into Israel, Israel Radio reported. Indiscriminate killing of civilians is unacceptable under any circumstances, he said at a press conference in Gaza, according to Israel Radio.

Ban also called on Israel to allow the Palestinians "freedom and fair lives," and to uphold human rights. Ban pledged that the UN would continue to work with Israel and the Palestinians to enable them to live side by side in peace and harmony.
