The Bank of Israel purchased 1.3 billion dollars last month in a bid to bring about the recovery of the US currency against the shekel, it was announced Sunday. The BoI said that as a result of the purchase, Israel's foreign currency reserves rose to an unprecedented 61.2 billion dollars.
