Sgt.First Class (res.) Lidor Porat, a 31-year-old soldier from Ashdod, was killed during combat in southern Lebanon, the IDF announced on Sunday.
Porat was a soldier in the 7106th Battalion of the 769th Regional Brigade.
During the incident in which Porat was killed, another soldier was severely wounded, four were moderately wounded, and four were lightly wounded.
All wounded soldiers were evacuated to receive medical treatment, and their families have been notified.
Hezbollah explosive responsible for IDF soldier's death
Porat and his unit had been operating in Kafr Kila when a D-9 military bulldozer ran over an explosive device belonging to Hezbollah, causing it to detonate, according to Army Radio's Doron Kadosh.
The IDF is currently investigating when the explosive had been placed and whether there has been a violation of the current ceasefire, Kadosh noted.
Command Sgt.-Maj. (Res.) Barak Kalfon killed in southern Lebanon
Command Sgt.-Maj. (Res.) Barak Kalfon, a 48-year-old combat soldier in the 226th Brigade from Adi, was killed during combat in southern Lebanon on Friday, the IDF announced Saturday evening.
In the same incident in which Kalfon was killed, two soldiers were moderately injured, and an additional soldier was lightly injured, the IDF added.
The soldiers were evacuated to a hospital for medical treatment, and their families have been notified.
Kalfon's funeral will take place on Sunday, April 19, at 2:00 p.m. at the Adi Cemetery.
