Defense Minister Ehud Barak raised a glass at a Thursday afternoon meeting celebrating Avi Dichter's new role as home front defense minister.

At the meeting, which included IDF Chief of Staff Benny Gantz and other military brass, Barak toasted Dichter, saying, "I am convinced that you you will bring to the role with you all the vast experience you garnered throughout the years, and I have no doubt that you will help the defense establishment with the challenges it faces."
