Barak says Italy contributes to Israel's security

Defense Minister Ehud Barak on Monday met with Italian Foreign Minister Franco Frattini and said that Italy "contributes in every way possible to security forces surrounding Israel (UNIFIL) and also works towards finding a breakthrough in talks."

"We are standing at a crossroads and the Israeli government will continue to do everything that is being demanded in order to overcome the difficulties that exist today regarding the settlement freeze and to enter into direct negotiations with the Palestinians," Barak continued.
