Supreme Court President Dorit Beinisch said that dealing with extreme violence in Israeli society requires a change in national priorities, in a swearing-in ceremony for new judges on Monday.
She said that education, welfare services and the justice system would need to be overhauled, and added that there are not enough judges in Israel.
At the same ceremony, President Shimon Peres said that harming children, violence in families, death on the roads, drunk driving, bribery and corruption are Israel's main enemies.
