The Knesset approved Monday in its first reading a bill sponsored by MK Moshe Matalon (Israel Beiteinu) that would make punishments for drivers in hit-and-run cases more severe. The bill was presented only days after a fatal hit-and-run claimed the lives of two newlyweds on Route 4.
