Bomb hits police vehicle in NW Pakistan, 1 killed

PESHAWAR, Pakistan — Police on Tuesday said a roadside bomb targeting a police vehicle killed an officer and wounded three people in northwestern Pakistan.

Police officer Amir Sultan Khan said the bomb was detonated by remote control Tuesday in the Pir Bala area near the northwestern city of Peshawar.

Peshawar is the capital of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province.
