A veteran Border Police officer called police saying he murdered his wife in their Bat Yam apartment Monday.

The 48-year-old Border officer said he shot his wife multiple times in her upper body, according to paramedics. Police say he most likely used his service weapon.

The couple's 20 year-old son was reportedly in the apartment when the murder occurred. Police took brought him to a local police station for questioning.
