Border Police officer wounded in Silwan riot

A Border Police officer was lightly wounded Saturday night when rocks and fireworks were thrown at his unit by an Arab mob during a search for suspected terrorists and other illegal activity in the volatile east Jerusalem neighborhood of Silwan.

The officer was treated at the scene and transferred to an area hospital. According to police, patrols continue to canvass the capital to prevent terrorist attacks.
