A border policeman was lightly wounded during clashes between protesters and security forces at the Umm Salmona village near Bethlehem on Friday. Some 80 Palestinians and left-wing activists gathered to protest against the security barrier, and some of them hurled stones at the Border Police force. Security forces responded with riot dispersal means.
