Canada: Ottawa to "kick-start" Palestinian economic plan with $5 million

Canada announced on Thursday that it was set to contribute $5 million to "kick-start" a plan for the Palestinian economy that US Secretary of State John Kerry has been devising, The Globe and Mail reported.

Canadian Foreign Affairs Minister John Baird made the announcement of Ottawa's commitment of funds to the Palestinian Authority in the West Bank during a visit by PA Foreign Minister Riyad al-Maliki, according to the report.
