French Foreign Minister Bernard Kouchner canceled a visit to Israel scheduled for next week over issues related to the Goldstone Commissions report, Channel 2 reported Tuesday night. France decided not to vote on the report, which accuses Israel of war crimes and possible crimes against humanity during Operation Cast Lead, when it was discussed in the United Nations Human Rights Council last Friday. According to Channel 2, Kouchner was told that Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu would not have time to meet with him this month, though French officials said the visit was simply delayed due to technical issues.
