Cleared for release: Shin Bet nabs terror cell

The Shin Bet (Israel Security Agency) and the IDF detained a terror cell suspected of involvement in a terror attack that took place on April 23 and in which an explosive device was planted on a main route leading to the West Bank settlement of Elon Moreh, it was cleared for release on Wednesday. No injuries were reported at the time of the attack.
Four members of the cell, all residents of Nablus, were arrested.
The Shin Bet investigation revealed that the cell members were plotting to carry out a combined terror attack- they wanted to plant an explosive device along the road leading to the settlement and also target IDF soldiers deployed in the area.
It was determined that the cell members had indeed created, planted and activated the explosive device on the route leading to Elon Moreh with the intention of injuring and possibly killing Israeli civilians and soldiers.
It was also learned that the terror cell had a lab where they manufactured explosive devices and improvised weapons, and forces seized munitions that the cell members had used.
All cell members arrested are expected to be indicted in the coming days.
