Cooking gas container blows up in Jerusalem home, 5 injured

What was likely a  a cooking gas container blew up causing extensive damage in an apartment in Jerusalem early Monday morning Magen David Adom EMS said.

Police said five people were injured in the explosion including a baby that was unconscious. Three other people were found to be moderately and one more was defined as being lightly injured.

All of the injured victims were evacuated to Hadassah Medical Center.

The explosion that caused extensive damage, took place on the third floor of a four floor building on Shabtai Ha-negri street in the capital.

Rescue workers were continuing to search for other possible casualties.
