Croatian Foreign Minister Vesna Pusic said Friday that the government in Zagreb was "likely" to recognize an independent Palestinian state alongside Israel, Turkey's Anadolu new agency reported him as saying at a press conference.

According to the report, Pusic cited Sweden's decision to recognize Palestinian statehood as leading the way for other European countries that were likely to soon follow suit.
