After five years of suspension, the Damascus International Fair in its 59th edition kicked-off on Thursday (August 17) with the participation of Arab and Western companies.
Companies from Egypt, Venezuela, Indonesia, North Korea, the Czech Republic, Lebanon, and Sudan took part in the exhibition, with the largest number of participants coming from Russia, China and Iran.
Iran, the biggest ally of Syria's President Bashar al-Assad, participated with 30 companies in different fields.
