The defense team in the case of the 1982 rape and murder of female IDF soldier Daphna Carmon is set to file an appeal to the Supreme Court late Sunday morning against the convictions of brothers Kamal and Muhammad Sabihi. At an 11. a.m. press conference, the public defense is set to unveil new findings which it claims prove that the convictions were based on false confessions and police lies. The Sabihi brothers have each been serving two life sentences since 1987.
