Israel should not take Iranian threats to retaliate for the alleged Israeli strike on a military convoy in Syria lightly, a former IDF intelligence officer told Army Radio on Friday.

"The Iranians and Hezbollah know how to orchestrate a response. If not in the area, they have shown that they can operate abroad as well," Col. (res.) Yossi Deskel said.
