East Jerusalem 'flu baby' and mother much improved, doctors say

The east Jerusalem woman who contracted complications of H1N1 flu virus and whose fetus had to be delivered prematurely by cesarean section last week to save her has greatly improved at Hadassah University Medical Center in Jerusalem's Ein Kerem, doctors said. She has been moved from the intensive care unit to the ordinary obstetrics department. Her newborn baby girl is in the premature baby unit and improving.
