A grouping of supporters of deposed president Mohamed Morsi called on Egyptians on Wednesday to stage nationwide protests against what it called an army coup.

The call by the Anti-Coup Alliance came after at least 149 people were killed in a police raid on Morsi supporters' encampments in Cairo and the nationwide clashes that followed.
