Deputy Chief of Staff and the next slated chief of staff Maj.-Gen. Gadi Eizenkot will appear before Judge Yaakov Tirkel and his government committee on Tuesday, where he is expected to receive approval for his appointment.

The meeting will take place at the residence of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in Jerusalem.

Eizenkot was supposed to arrive at the Knesset on Sunday to receive government approval, but will instead arrive on Sunday the week after next.

The delay was due an illness suffered by Judge Tirkel.
