Elkin accepts Deputy Foreign Minister position

Likud MK Ze'ev Elkin on Monday accepted Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu's request that he serve as Deputy Foreign Minister in the next government.
Netanyahu met with Elkin on Monday and expressed confidence that his experience as coalition chairman in the outgoing government would serve him in his new role.
Elkin called the Foreign Ministry "one of the most influential ministries in Israel," adding that he was certain he could advance Israel's status on the world.
