An event in honor of the Church of Loaves and Fishes in the Galilee, torched on Thursday in what investigators believe is an arson attack, will take place today at 4:00 p.m..

The traditional site of pilgrimage in the Holy Land, which lies on the shores of the Sea of Galilee in northern Israel, was heavily damaged and graffiti-laden when firefighters arrived at the scene at around 3:30 a.m..

The event 's organizers opened a Facebook page ahead of the afternoon gathering, calling on the public to show "support and solidarity" with the church's followers. "Together we will condemn the violence, and declare that this is not the way of the Jewish people," they said.
