A fire at a parking lot at Ben-Gurion Airport caused serious damage to four vehicles and left another three lightly damaged Sunday afternoon, a spokesman for the national fire services reported.

The Central District police spokeswoman said that the fire was caused by an electrical short in a car in the employees parking lot inside the airport, which quickly spread out of control.

The station at the airport has opened an investigation into the incident.
