Fire breaks out in Jerusalem suburb; no injuries among evacuated residents

Fires broke out Wednesday afternoon in the Rekhes Khalilim area of the Jerusalem suburb of Mevaseret Zion.

Two houses were damaged by the flames while emergency workers managed to evacuate their residents without injury.

A firefighting helicopter and 15 firefighting teams were working at the scene to control the fire.

Police and firefighting forces were also working to evacuate residents from houses on the road closest to the blaze.
