Several Palestinian men attacked Israelis traveling to the Western Wall on an Egged Bus in the capital Thursday afternoon by throwing rocks at them inside the bus, injuring over a dozen people, police said.

According to Police spokesman Micky Rosenfeld, while the bus was en route to the Kotel, the suspects threw several rocks at the passengers, shattering some of the bus's windows, resulting in flying debris and multiple injuries.  “Four people were treated for light injuries, four people were taken to the hospital for treatment and nine people were treated for shock,” said Rosenfeld.

The suspects fled the scene when police arrived, and following a search of the area, no arrests have been made. Rosenfeld said an investigation into the assault has been opened and arrests are expected soon.
