The Knesset Finance Committee will not approve the government's price increases in the near future, committee chairman MK Moshe Gafni decided on Thursday.A new tax levied on meat was already approved by the Industry, Trade and Labor Ministry. Gafni ordered an investigation into whether the measure would mean a price increase. If it turns out that the measure results in an increase of even one shekel, he said, the request will be denied.
