Gal-On to promote sexual harassment legislation

Meretz chairwoman Zehava Gal-On proposed legislation on Monday requiring employers to publicize results of any inquiry into sexual harassment claims in the workplace.
The bill proposes employers will have to also publicize the reason behind any decision to fire an employee who has been accused of sexual harassment.
According to Gal-On, the bill is meant to prevent "serial" harassers from moving to a new workplace every time a complaint for sexual harassment is filed against them.
Gal-On said that while Channel 2's decision to fire journalist Emanuel Rosen after an internal inquiry into a sexual harassment complaint against him, but the fact they did not report or publicize the reason to his firing enabled him to find work at Channel 10.
