Meretz leader Zehava Galon responded to comments made by Foreign Minister Avigdor Liberman at the Jerusalem Post Annual Conference on Sunday, where he said that it would be preferable to hold Knesset elections rather than releasing prisoners for peace negotiations.

Gal-on stated that, "What he said at the Jpost conference revealed the true face of the Israeli government," adding that, "Maybe it really would be worth going to elections and getting rid of this defunct government."
