A three-year-old girl burned to death inside a car parked in front of her family home in Beit Araf, while her mother and other relatives tried in vain to save her life.

Police said that the girl and two other siblings were sitting in the car when it caught on fire for unapparent reasons. Family members managed to save the two siblings, who were not injured, but the three-year-old succumbed to the flames before she could be rescued.

Police said they have opened an investigation into what caused the fire and are still examining how exactly the tragedy took place.
