Israel's Health Ministry on Friday confirmed the second case of coronavirus in the country.
The individual concerned is the wife of the Israeli who returned from Italy and tested positive on Thursday, Channel 13 reported.
It is the first reported transmission of the disease within Israel.
The children of the couple are also being tested for the virus.
Israeli singer Lior Narkiss was taken into quarantine after he was in close proximity to the passenger in a shop called 'The Red Pirate,' in Or Yehuda.
The Health Ministry also released a list of the recent movements of the passenger, and warned anyone who had been within two meters, for longer than 15 minutes, must immediately be quarantined in their home and report to the ministry online via their coronavirus site.
Three Israelis who had been infected with the coronavirus recovered and were released from the hospital Thursday. Sheba Medical Center released Yitzhak Biton, one of the 11 Israelis who was under quarantine at the hospital after returning to Israel from the Diamond Princess cruise ship.
One hundred and eighty students were also placed in isolation earlier in the week after being exposed to South Korean tourists who tested positive for the coronavirus.
