Hollande: There's evidence indicating Assad regime was behind WMD attack

French President Francois Hollande said Sunday that his country has evidence that indicates Syrian President Bashar Assad's forces had carried out the chemical weapons attack in east Damascus last week, AFP reported.
There was "a body of evidence indicating that the August 21 attack was chemical in nature, and that everything led to the belief that the Syrian regime was responsible for this unspeakable act," he said.
He called on the Assad regime to allow the UN inspectors immediate, unrestricted access to affected areas.
