Hundreds of Israelis flocked to the funerals of the two teenagers who were declared missing at Lake Kinneret (Sea of Galilee) and were found dead on Monday following five days of frantic searching.

Nachman Itach (21) and Liron Karadi (17), were buried in their respective hometowns of Jerusalem and Or Yehuda. They found their deaths after being swept away by strong winds while lounging on inflatable mattresses on the Kinneret. A third missing youth, Itamar Ohana, 19, has yet to be located. Police Commissioner Insp. -Gen. Roni Alsheich said on Sunday that the police's working assumption was that "the missing are apparently no longer alive."

Many volunteers joined security forces in their search after the boys. Hundreds have also arrived at the funerals to extend their condolences and support the families in this difficult time.
