Hundreds of buses jam highway in to capital for Yosef funeral

Hundreds of buses filled with haredim streamed into Jerusalem on Monday for the funeral of Shas spiritual leader Rabbi Ovadia Yosef.

Yosef's funeral procession was set to set out from Yeshivat Porat Yosef at six pm on Monday.  Police closed Highway 1 the main highway between Jerusalem and Tel Aviv on Monday evening to private cars from the Motza interchange to the the entrance of the capital because of the heavy volume of funeral related traffic.
