The ambassador of the Philippines to Israel, Generoso D.G. Calongne, updated the Filipino community in Israel on the situation after Typhoon Haiyan on IBA English News last week. His interview was simultaneously shown on the channel’s social media site and received more than 40,000 hits.

There is a large community of Filipinos in Israel who serve as caregivers to the sick and elderly. The channel on Thursday will run an additional interview with the ambassador, the head of the Filipino community in Israel and interviews with people in the disaster areas.
