IDF and police forces arrested 16 suspects in the West Bank on Tuesday night, according to a statement released by the IDF Spokesperson's Unit.

The arrestees were suspected of involvement in terrorist activity and violent disturbances against civilians and security forces.

During searches in Beit Ummar, northwest of Hebron, security forces found a cache of illegal weapons. The suspects were taken in for questioning

The operation follows an attempted stabbing attack in the West Bank Monday, when a Palestinian stopped his vehicle next to an IDF checkpoint near the Palestinian city of Nablus and tried to stab a soldier.
