IDF arrests 17 overnight in Isawiya

Israeli security forces arrested 17 suspects overnight on Saturday in a planned operation in Isawiya.  According to the Police Spokesperson, police entered the village with arrest warrants for persons suspected of involvement in severe disturbances over the past week, such as throwing Molotov cocktails and stones at police forces.
The suspects, ten of whom are minors, were taken into police custody for questioning. During the operation, police had to repel rioters.
The spokesperson noted that police will act with a "firm hand" against lawbreakers who constantly try to disrupt police activity or harm police officers. The statement said that last night's arrests were "clear proof that anyone involved in disturbances will be arrested and brought to justice."
